MCA21 records 15 distinct filing-driven events that Kestrel exposes as signals. Not all of them are equal for sales prospecting. Here is a ranking from highest to lowest GTM utility, with the use case behind each.

1. Funding round (PAS-3 filed). Strongest single signal in Indian B2B. A company that just filed a return of allotment is hiring, building, and buying. Best for HR-tech, fintech, infra, SaaS targeting the funded segment.

2. First export (DGFT). Trade-services intent at peak. CHA, freight forwarders, forex, banks.

3. Charge created (CHG-1). New secured loan. Strongest signal for lenders (refinance) and trade-finance providers.

4. Volume surge (DGFT/ICEGATE). Quarterly export volume up materially. Working capital and warehousing event.

5. Hiring surge (public job boards). Indirect signal, useful for HR-tech, payroll, GCC services.

6. New export destination (DGFT/ICEGATE). Compliance, banking, risk-management triggers.

7. Director change (DIR-12). New decision-maker, brief opening for vendor displacement.

8. Name change (INC-24). Often signals strategic pivot. Brand, web, design vendors care.

Rule of thumb: signals 1 through 6 are worth a direct call. 7 through 11 are worth a same-week email. 12 through 15 are worth a quarterly digest.
